16 May 2017 : Some members of the group Indivisible demonstrated outside the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan's Civic Center. The demonstrators, who were near the U.S. Attorney's Office for New York's southern district, were promoting the upcoming 3 June 2017 #MarchForTruth. A coälition of groups organising the march and march participants are calling for an independent investigation into allegations of each of Russian interference with the 2016 presidential election and Russian ties to President Donald Trump, his administration, and his associates. The U.S. Department of Justice, in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are conducting such an investigation, but that investigation has exposed conflicts of interests for senior Trump administration officials, including U.S. Attorney General Jefferson Sessions III. News reports have also raised questions about actions taken by President Trump to allegedly thwart the Federal investigation, such as removing from office FBI Director James Comey, Jr., and former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara., who may have asserted independence in the Federal investigation. Other national groups supporting or endorsing the march include Rock The Vote, MoveOn.org, and OurStates.org. Source : Louis Flores/Progress Queens
